Breath of the Wild - EX Royal Guard Rumors

The Champions’ Ballad DLC has been released and with it comes new DLC armour. Some of the clues pointing you to this new armour may have you scratching your head so here’s a guide to help you out.

STEP 1 After reading through Super Rumor Mill EX: Volume 4 in the Riverside Stable, you’ll see the entire set is located within Hyrule Castle. This can be a tricky place to navigate if you’re not prepared so be sure to stock up first.

STEP 2 Once you’re ready, head to the castle. The Royal Guard Uniform is arguably the easiest to get. Navigate your way to the Dining Room then head down a hall just near it.

STEP 3 In a small room down the end of that hall, beneath a knight’s statue, you’ll find the chest.

STEP 4 Here is the location on the map:

STEP 5 The Royal Guard Boots are a little trickier to get to. You want to enter the castle from this entrance.

STEP 6 Use Cryonis to hold the portcullis open then head up the stairs until you’re inside the castle proper again. Head into the first door on your left until and you'll reach the Guards’ Chambers.

STEP 7 The chest is right by the fire, near the Lizalfos.

STEP 8 Here it is on the map:

STEP 9 The hardest to find is the Royal Guard Cap and that’s not just because the clue is so vague. What it means by ‘second floor’, is the second floor of the Sanctum. Yes, the place where you go to fight Calamity Ganon.

STEP 10 Head up to the Sanctum but be careful not to enter the main floor. If you do, you’ll trigger the end boss fight. Instead, head around this spire and climb it.

STEP 11 You can navigate from this spire onto the balcony of the second floor of the Sanctum.

STEP 12 You should be able to enter a room with calamity goop and tentacles sprouting out of it. Around the edge is a knight’s statue and underneath that is the chest.

STEP 13 If you don’t know where you’re going, finding this one is definitely tricky. Here it is on the map:
