Pokemon Oceania Championship coming to Sydney!

Sydney Olympic Park will be hosting The Pokemon Oceania International Championships from February 9th to the 11th next year. It is expected to be one of the largest events of the 2017 - 2018 Championship Series season.

The tournament, hosted by ESL Australia, features competitions amongst Pokemon Card Game players as well as Pokemon video game enthusiasts. Great prizes, cash and championship points are awarded to the top players in an age group. All you need to register is your Pokemon ID (from your Pokemon Trainer Club account), your name and date of birth. Online registrations will be opening "soon" (no date announced yet).

There is an attendance fee for both competitors and spectators though. Registering to play amongst the Masters division will cost $60AUD. Juniors and Seniors have a registration fee of just $30AUD. Just for entering, each competitor will receive event-exclusive merchandise. Spectators have a $10AUD entrance fee.

Event Times are:

Friday February 9th:
8:30am: TCG and VGC Masters Day 1 Start

Saturday February 10th:
8:30am: TCG and VGC Masters play continues, TCG and VGC Junior/Senior Day 1 Start

Sunday February 11th:
8:30am: TCG/VGC All division play continues to completion.
